Dealing With Fibroids in the Uterus
By Elle Nash
I wanted to talk to you about dealing with fibroids in the uterus. This is a big problem for a lot of women. These fibroids are actually tumors that are growing around the uterus and other reproductive organs. The good news is that they aren’t of the cancerous nature, but there existence causes complications with the whole reproductive process. This can make it difficult to have a successful pregnancy because you’re more likely to miscarriage because of it. Doctors aren’t really sure why this happens to women and they don’t have much of a solution either. I want to talk to you about dealing with fibroids in the uterus.
Like I said before, doctors really don’t understand why this effects some women, and not others. The solution offered by them is surgery. Basically they go in and cut the fibroids out. Often, they can’t even do that and they’re forced to do some kind of hysterectomy, where they start removing the reproductive organs. For a woman that is looking to eventually have children, this is not an option. You’re more likely to end up infertile going this way. It isn’t an option you should consider if children are on your mind.
Dealing with fibroids in the uterus can be done another way. Basically doctors do know that the size of the fibroids is related to estrogen levels. As your estrogen levels go down, so does the size of the fibroids. Small fibroids are less likely to cause a complication with the pregnancy process. You can use this to your advantage by going through some sort of hormone therapy. This can be done with a doctor or on your own by changing your diet and exercise.
